America 250 Semiquincentennial Bible Celebration

Faith has always been the cornerstone of life in the United States of America.

My name is Frank DeFreitas, and I post under the easier-to-remember name of Francis Douglas (my first and middle name).

With this online exhibit and podcasts, website visitors will see and learn about the history of the Christian Holy Bible.

All of the bible items herein are from my personal collection.

Ranging from cuneiform clay tablets from the time of Abraham, to laser-based, holographic optical data storage of the future — for many, this will be the only time people will ever get to see these items.

A Bible tells many stories. Not only stories within its pages, but external stories as well: its history, printing, dissemination, who they were made for, and more.

My aim is to show the centrality of the Holy Bible in everyday living … here in the United States of America.
